August Rides, Don't Fade Away Now!

We're heading into the last true month of summer, don't let it end without a bunch more riding! It's time to get outside and enjoy all those gains you've made in your bicycling fitness. Plus, the continued cardio will help in preparation for our annual fitness test come September!

Road Ride: Saturday, August 11th.  Let's start again from the JSF, and keep Chief Brown company (if he can make it). The group will again decide the ride route, type of ride and length. A & C shifters, it's time to get on those bikes in preparation for the Police and Fire Games. Start time of 0930.

MTB Rides: Two scheduled this month. August 23rd, back to Centennial Cone Open Space. This has turned out to be a group favorite. Meet at the trail head at 1000, (baring any late night fires for B shift). Also on the schedule is Wednesday, August 28th at Matthew Winters Open Space Park. This is a nice ride, and a close drive. Meet at the trailhead at 1000.

Additional rides are always welcome, just send them out via e-mail.

July Rides, be inspired by the Tour!

Road Ride on July the 14th.

Celebrate Bastille Day with a Saturday ride. Begin at the JSF at 0930. Group decision on the length and route of the day. For all of you looking to make the transition off the 'Spin Bike' and onto the road, this is your ride. Also, there are now group rides going out of "TREADS" Bicycle Shop here in Parker. Thursday evenings at 6 pm. Matt S. from Pactimo will lead out, and will also be available for some coaching type interaction if requested.

Mountain Bike Ride on July the 27th.

Come ride one of JeffCo's newest open space parks 'Centennial Cone'. Located off 6th Avenue, west of Golden. I will try this one soon, and advise those interested on the type of ride it is. It sounds like an awesome ride of about 12 miles. Much cooler temps up there I'm told as well.

Extra Road and MTB rides will be added, and announced via e-mail as usual.
